Welcome

Named for a fort built in 1673 on the same site, Norfolk's Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center is open for business and welcoming passengers from across the country. The state-of-the-art facility was designed to be much more than just another terminal and boasts one of the nation's largest privately-owned ocean liner collections as well as 400-year-old artifacts from historic Jamestown. Embarking has never been easier; a recent Bermuda-bound passenger said his experience was "flawless and fast." With the addition of the Half Moone in downtown Norfolk, no other port comes close.

NORFOLK CRUISE TERMINAL

Embarking

  • For your comfort and convenience, the best plan is to arrive at your cruise terminal no more than 30 minutes prior to your scheduled embarkation time. To make reaching it as simple as possible, easy-to-follow signage begins pointing the way even before you reach our borders. Large highways signs on all major approaches should lead you to the right Port gate, where our inport signage takes over the job of making your route easy to fi nd. But if you do have any trouble, don’t worry. Any member of our Port staff will be happy to assist you.
  • Guests arriving by bus from our parking area will be dropped off by complimentary shuttle in front of Half Moone (One Waterside Drive). Those guests being dropped off by a friend/relative should also plan on coming directly to Half Moone. Our porter team will assist with baggage. Guests will then proceed to our check-in area. Please remember to have a photo ID and boarding documentation in-hand. Before boarding, passengers will be required to go through security x-rays.
Disembarking

  • Upon Returning From The Cruise:
The night before arriving back in Norfolk, passengers will be asked to place all luggage outside their cabin door. Stewards will collect the luggage and store it in a locked area overnight. In the morning, the luggage will be laid out in rows according to a color-coded tag system. Guests who have exceeded their Customs Tax & Duty Free limit will be asked to meet in a certain area of the vessel. Afterwards, debarking guests will be called off the ship by colored tags.

Parking

  • Our parking facility is located on Monticello Avenue in downtown Norfolk. The parking rate for all sailings is $10 per night.
