This adventure also includes the urban and country pleasure of Anchorage, a port city nestled between the Alaska Range and the Chugach Mountains. Here you can tour the Museum of Natural History and Art, at Ship Creek Salmon Overlook, watch spawning salmon head upstream. You can even visit Lake Hood, the busiest seaplane base in the world! Also on the tour is Fairbanks, Alaska's second-largest city. You'll feel like a pioneer here. You can even try you hand at panning for gold.
